Okay. pictures. I’ll do a basic summary with each, but if I were to do even a fraction of my pictures, you’d be reading forever! Here’re a couple for your enjoyment! :)

My reccommendation: don’t fly Alitalia. They’re cheap, and you definitely get what you pay for. :)

See where it says Thessaloniki———————-Cancelled? Yeah. We got to spend the next 8 hours in baggage claim of the Milan airport, and then a night in a hotel. Ew. Oh, and THEN we got delayed the next day due to a “technical difficulty.” Remember when I said you get what you pay for? Yeah. The airplanes were bordering on WAY outdated. A little sketchy? Yeah.

The monument along the river in which Lydia (and myself) were baptized. I got the chance to renew my baptismal vows. Considering the trials and growth in Christ I’ve gone through lately, I thought it appropriate.

Yeah, I definitely went to Philippi–right after the ceremony at Lydia’s baptism site. Archaeologists are *pretty sure* that this is Philippi. ;) It was my favorite archaeological site. So many things were in tact, and there was even a carving in a stone that they used to play backgammon in the ancient Roman times!

This is me, hiking Mt. Olympus. Okay, okay. Mt. Olympus doesn’t exist. It’s just the name of the range. But I WAS hiking in that mountain range! It was fun!

Mmmmmm. Gyros for lunch our last day in Thessaloniki! SO good.

The monastery we visited in Meteora. The mountains were absolutely gorgeous.

“D-Heth” and Susie, after Dr. Heth won the “Over-50″ race category in the stadium in Delphi. Ah, good times.

Yep. That’s me. And the Parthenon. Pretty tight. Our hotel? 3 blocks away. Yeah. 3 blocks.

I went on a one-day cruise. At the first of the three islands, a couple girls and I found this AMAZING bakery, and I ate THIS. It’s a bit bigger than a doughnut hole, for reference. Pastry crust, cream puff-style filling, glaze, pistachios around the edge, and a chocolate and pistachio garnish. MMMMMMM!
Yep. The Coliseum. It was pretty cool.
To wrap things up, here’s a statue of the Apostle Paul. He’s generally depicted carrying a sword, to represent the two-edged sword of the Scriptures.
Okay, that’s all I’ve got for now. I’ll try to put up an album online somewhere with more pics, but that’s my trip in a nutshell!

Love the photos – thanks for the tour. (Thanks for posting “Mom pics” – you know … the ones with you in them!)
