trails

these feet of mine have been so many places.  as far as travel goes, i’ve been to 11 countries outside of the u.s.a.  the most significant places in my life have been my home in nebraska, my home in south africa, and my travels to europe and israel.  i anticipate a life with my david somewhere outside of my home country someday in the future – living out our faith in a new culture, constantly learning, constantly growing.

in the course of my life, i’ve walked so far – and i only see a tiny portion of the future my Abba has for me.  i’ve been through rough times, personally and vicariously through people i love.  i have traveled through so many rough patches, and yet can look back at the paths behind me with an understanding smile and am encouraged to press on.  the trail ahead of me will be even narrower at times, and i know i will have to be taught how to walk, over and over again.  because of my past, i look forward to the challenges i will face in the future, and i know i can hold tight to His hand the whole way.
